All the Projects Are Under Wraps

Nekozuki Yarns, wedge bag, cats
WiP: Super Secret Project (that is all)
In the plans: Another super secret project

That's right. Everything I am knitting right now is under wraps, but I still have a few things to chat about.

I'm heading into the busy season, but the good news is that I do have slipper stock that will be heading into the shop by mid-September (I need to seam and wash and photograph them still! haha). I'm also starting into prepping bag stock, because, excellent news, there's going to be a fibre arts show in Calgary on November 8! Details are still getting firmed up, but I wanted to let everyone know.

Watch for previews of the fabrics that will be available at the show, and if I have remainders after, they will be posted between November 9 and November 15 (just in time to get them for Christmas gifts)!

So keep your eyes peeled! Until then, have fun!

Oops, I Did It Again...

WiP: Super Secret Projects, Toe-up socks (for me!) - Bicotte & Cie Poisson Tang, Calligraphy Cardigan by Hannah Fettig

So, the whole blogging thing went way off course! I'll definitely be trying harder this next week.

My weekends and life are going to be pretty busy right up until the end of July, though, so please bare with me. We're down to the under 6 month crunch for the wedding! Eeek! (This is an eek of excitement...and slight terror! haha)

Otherwise, we've just been plain busy. Dallas worked a longer shift last week, which means an extra day from home, but then we went to Fernie for the weekend, and I had a downhill skiing lesson, which was fantastic! Tiring, but it turned out way better than I was expecting it to!

Other than that, just at the 9-5, and working on wedding stuff, and generally trying not to go into full-on panic mode quite yet.

What have you all been up to?

Catch-Up Thursday

WiP: Dallas's Cardigan
FOs: None

So, the past weekend was the long weekend. We were super busy, being out in Cochrane all four days of the weekend.

However, we got to drive out to Canmore for Knit & Caboodle, and then went to the second-hand bookstore as well, where I picked up Marion Zimmer Bradley's Forest House, a prequel to The Mists of Avalon.

I got the back finished on Dallas's cardigan; now it's the fronts, sleeves, and collar. I have less than a month to finish it now! But I think it'll all be good.

Also, it's less than fourteen months to the wedding! Couple more months and I can start pinning down the detailed parts of everything.

And once I've finished Dallas's cardigan, on to the shawl! And some more SSPs (super-secret projects).

Tuesday night we went to see "Iron Man 3", which was amazing! I loved it. I'm really glad that they didn't ignore "The Avengers," which was completely possible. I'm also super stoked to see "Thor: The Dark World" this fall!!

Next on the list, which I think will be good as well is "Star Trek: Into Darkness." And then I think the next after that will be "The Lone Ranger" with Johnny Depp.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this weekend that the weather will be good for the Lilac Festival on Sunday, and maybe for a hike on Saturday.

Either sun, or absolutely pouring rain so that I don't feel bad staying inside and knitting or sewing.

What're your plans for the weekend?
